Good vibrations!

More electrifying work in Year 4 this week, we were testing items to find out whether they were insulators or conductors.

We had to make sure that the circuit worked before we tested the items!

Then we went on to learn about sound. Doogie showed us how the strings on his guitar vibrated when he strummed them.

We could see the vibrations ripple through the water when we used the baton on a triangle.

We also felt our voice boxes vibrate as we spoke! 4D enjoyed saying the register whilst gently pressing their voice boxes!

Lights camera action! So Year 4 are now poised with making an electrical safety video. Teams have been identifying dangers within the home, they have planned their script, started designing their setting ready for filming next week. We hope our videos can teach children in the Lower School about keeping safe around electricity within their homes.

In PSHE we were solving our problems and giving advice. It was so super to see how thoughtful and endearing they were with each other. What a lovely lot of trusted friends we have.

4W expressed their feelings through painting. Could we feel happy, sad, positive or calm today?

I am sure you are very happy that it is the weekend! Have a great time!
