Discoveries

Welcome back - we hope you all had a marvellous break!

We made some amazing discoveries this week - we have been learning all about the English invasion of the Angles, Jutes and Saxons. We have been locating their Kingdoms whilst noting the origins of their names. All very interesting!

We had a very interesting talk given by a visitor who has made some amazing Roman finds in Edward's fields. It was fascinating to look at all images on the Roman coins and learn how old they were.

We have also discovered what pancakes taste like from different countries. Reese gave a very informative presentation on pancakes and later served us with tasty treats! Delicious!

In maths we have been looking at problem solving and fractions - can you believe we did some painting to create our very own fraction walls and become mathematical whizzes at equivalent fractions!

Year 6 and Year 4 have helped to make a wonderful Remembrance display in the entrance area of our school. The silhouette pictures were very effective I am sure you agree!
