Here are Year 4's antics before we wrapped up the week for half term:
Reese's 'Mom' has been a busy bee once again! She has helped to create our lovely Window on the World door displays all ready for the off as soon as we return after our holiday.
The children researched and added people from around the world in their national dress et voila - I am sure you agree that they look rather splendid!
The one that nearly got away!!
Toast and sandwiches were on offer from House-keeping team this week! They were very well received by staff and the house-keepers themselves. A good practice for Friday's breakfast treat!
It was all about symmetry this week in maths - we were looking at flags from different countries and moved on to reflecting shapes within quadrants.
Moon dust has proved a great his in 4D this week! After being influenced by Heston's home made colourful dust - Reese brought in some that was even more blue - photographic evidence was not required!
An exciting update from our forthcoming bee project is that the hive has started to be built and squared up by Mr Campbell's woodwork team. This will be an ongoing project since there are a few more parts to assemble!
4D wrapped up before enjoying their reward for winning TriJanuary. We headed off to visit the proposed bee site via the river with Mr Teesdale and his three dogs. It was a beautiful walk filled with lots of fun and mud!
The bee site!
Wrapping up our half term we had a wonderful treat - Mrs Pye headed up the toasting team in 4W. The house-keepers kindly delivered delicious crumpets to our staff and made toast and hot chocolate for our year group. The children enjoyed buttering their toast (or not!) and choosing from a selection of toppings (or in some cases adding a little from all that was on offer!) 'The best breakfast ever' and 'I'm in breakfast heaven!' were quotes from some of the children!
Electrical games and challenges were also on offer ....
and making lovely Valentine crafts!
