All things Roman!

This week we the children have really enjoyed sharing their Independent Explorer projects with each other. We have had Roman roads, Roman games, presentations on the Romans (with a tricky quiz) and learning all about Roman inventions.

To top it off, we had a special visitor, Dr Ralph Jackson (Eliza's Grandpa) who was the Head Curator at the British Museum for over 40 years. He came to share Roman artifacts and deepen our knowledge further about life during the Roman Empire. He was also very impressed with some of our finds at our recent hunt at the Roman villa site.

We have been exploring characters from stories this week. We met 'Charlie' - Freddie - in the yurt where he answered great questions about his time as a time-traveller who was hiding from the Romans.

We have been busy learning about Haikus, by clapping out syllables to fit the pattern - 5-7-5. We produced some wonderful examples!

That's all for this week! Have a lovely weekend everybody!
