Year 4 Architecture Workshop Day

The children in Year 4 were busy building and creating designs at the Architecture Workshop.

They had to decide which designs would be the strongest, as well as look good.

Year 4 Founders Day - Thursday 13th June 2019

The Year 4 children performed magnificently at the Copthill 50th Founders Day.

They told a history from the 1980's and performed a medley of songs.

Well done to all the children who performed  - you were all fantastic!

Go-kart building

Some of the Year 4 children are busy putting together their go-karts and applying the final touches in preparation for the race night in a few weeks.

Mr Campbell has been impressed by the enthusiasm and energy from the children in Year 4.

Building Dark Dens in the Forest

On Tuesday 15th January, Year 4 went to build dark dens in the forest!

The children were split into groups and after the deliberations around choosing team names were complete, they were given some basic equipment (two Christmas trees; a tarpaulin and some string) and sent off to choose a location in which to construct their masterpieces.

The challenge was to see who could build the darkest den and whilst the groups were all successful in this respect, the waterproof factor was a little more entertaining!

Year 4 CCS Projects

Many of the Year 4 pupils have been busy since the beginning of the term doing their Copthill Challenge Scheme folders. So many of them are enthusiastic, committed and motivated to do these which is a credit to themselves, their teachers and to the parents for keeping their spirits high and why putting the best effort they can into anything is an invaluable life skill!

These pupils have presented some personal projects so far this term:

Sam Finlan
Sam Wheeler
Eloise Hull
Milo Gray
Joshi Harriss
Euan Over
Amelia Embleton

I know that many more have there ideas ready and are writing down what they would like to do before presenting it.

These are a few pictures below of Euan Over doing his presentation today.

Well done to all the pupils who have presented their projects so far and I'm looking forward to seeing many more as the year progresses.
